Greetings from Manila!
In connection with the 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree which will be held from 28 December 2009 – 03 January 2010 (refer to our circular no. 28/07), the Asia-Pacific Region and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines are pleased to invite all participants who attended the 10th World Scout Jamboree in 1959 at Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines for a grand reunion and celebrate the golden anniversary on 29 December 2009.
To make the event even more memorable, 10th WSJ participants are encouraged to bring any memorabilia such as uniform, badges, pins, pictures and other items used at the 1959 Jamboree for display and swapping.
The reunion participants are expected to join the opening ceremony of the Jamboree on the afternoon of 28 December 2009. Therefore, the reunion participants must arrive on 27 December 2009 if not participating in any pre-Jamboree activity and may leave on 30 December 2009 if not attending any post-Jamboree activity.
Reunion Organizer has lined-up activities such as tour of the Jamboree sites and nearby tourist destinations, join-in activities and many others. The reunion highlight will be the dinner hosted by the Camp Chief, Hon. Jejomar C. Binay, Chairman, APR Committee and Mayor of the City of Makati.
A registration fee of US $100.00 shall be charged to each participant to cover airport pick-up and drop-off, meals and snacks for two day, in-camp transport and souvenir items. The accommodation cost will be separate based on the preferred hotel.
The above advance information is for your necessary preparation and more details including the registration form will be sent to your National Scout Organization and will be available at the Jamboree Website and through the Jamboree Bulletin.

International Service Team – 26th APR Scout Jamboree

Greetings from Manila!
In connection with the 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree which will be held from 28 December 2009 – 03 January 2010. The Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the World Scout Bureau/ Asia-Pacific Region are pleased to invite young people and Scout Leaders to be part of International Service Team in this major Scout event.
Details are as follow:
Eligibility: Preferably between 18 to 35 years old. Should be able to speak English and must be physically fit and mentally sound to undertake any task needed in the Jamboree.
All applicants must be endorsed by their respective National Scout Organization.
Registration Fee: USD200.00 which includes Jamboree kit(souvenir), local transport, food and accommodation in tents (size for 2 persons) and one (1) set of Eating Utensils (1 pc of plate, 1 set of spoon and fork, 1 pc of small bowl and 1 pc of plastic bottle for drinking water).

Arrival and Departure dates: IST’s are expected to arrive on 25 December 2009 and expected to depart from the campsite on 04 January 2010 or 2 days after the closing of the Jamboree.
Orientation will be held on 26 December at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon. The IST members who wish to arrive before the orientation date are advised to inform Jamboree Secretariat three (3) months before the arrival.
Transportation: Transportation will be arranged from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA 1 & 2) Terminal 1 and 2 and Diosdado Macapagal Airport (Clark International Airport) to Mt. Makiling Camp and back.
